My documentary approach begins with observation rather than interruption. By creating space for your day to unfold naturally, I'm able to photograph the genuine interactions, quiet gestures, and shared moments that become the memories you'll return to for the rest of your life.
The result isn't simply a collection of beautiful photographs.
It's an honest record of how your wedding day felt.

The Wedding Photography Collection — $7,200
Eight hours of documentary wedding photography with Paul Myers as your lead photographer and artistic director.
Includes a first-look gallery within 24 hours, your complete hand-edited gallery within two weeks, high-resolution downloads, personal printing and sharing rights, and travel throughout California.

Intimate Weddings
For weddings requiring two hours of coverage or less.
Photography — $2,200
Photography + Film — $4,200Includes a first-look gallery within 24 hours and delivery of your complete hand-edited photographs—and wedding film, when included—within two weeks.

Wedding Film — $4,500
Eight hours of coverage by a dedicated filmmaker, with editing and color finishing by Paul Myers.
Includes a three-to-five-minute highlight film, complete ceremony film, first dance, reception speeches, professional audio, licensed music, and delivery within two weeks.

Additional Photographer — $1,000
Eight hours of coverage by an additional professional photographer working alongside Paul.

Rehearsal Dinner Coverage
Photography or film coverage for your rehearsal dinner may be added to The Wedding Photography Collection. Pricing is based on the location and amount of coverage requested.

Proposal-to-Wedding Credit
If you previously commissioned Oceanlight Studios for the Complete Proposal Collection, the full $1,450 cost of that collection will be credited toward The Wedding Photography Collection.
This credit does not apply to Intimate Weddings.

What is documentary wedding photography?
Documentary wedding photography focuses on real moments and genuine interactions rather than turning your wedding into a staged photo session. I observe the day as it unfolds, photographing the relationships, gestures, emotions, and unexpected moments that tell its complete story.
Will you still photograph family portraits and other important photographs?
Yes. A documentary approach does not mean overlooking the photographs that matter to you. We will discuss your priorities before the wedding, including family portraits, important relationships, traditions, and any specific photographs you would like included.
Do you offer both wedding photography and film?
Yes. You may add a dedicated filmmaker to The Wedding Photography Collection. This allows me to remain focused on leading the photography while your ceremony, speeches, first dance, and the movement and sound of the day are recorded on film.
Photography and film are also available together for Intimate Weddings requiring two hours of coverage or less.
When will we receive our photographs?
You will receive a first-look gallery within 24 hours of your wedding. Your complete hand-edited wedding gallery will be delivered within two weeks.
When will we receive our wedding film?
Completed wedding films are delivered within two weeks.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. Travel expenses are included for weddings throughout California. Weddings outside California are quoted individually.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
Begin by contacting me with your wedding date, location, and the coverage you are considering. Once availability is confirmed, your date is reserved with a signed agreement and a 50% retainer. The remaining balance is due one week before your wedding.
